that and i dropped my icecream while tryin to take pictures…

sometimes i like making things for my friends…

this is the rough draft of a piece i did for pauline. it’s acrylic on canvas. i used some string, bubblewrap & a styrofoam stamp i carved. the piece didn’t really turn out how i wanted it to cuz i couldn’t find the color paints i needed. i wanted fluorescent pink & purple, not pearlescent pastel. o well. live n learn.

Life seems but a quick succession of busy nothings.

help save sf japantown!!!!

the community (or space that is) of japantown is in trouble! straddling the few blocks just north of Geary and south of Sutter, between Laguna and Fillmore, has shrunk somewhat from its pre-wwii heyday, and now might shrink even more! kintesu of america corporation intend to sell what they own of japantown, about 75%, and put that money in their pockets. we can’t let this happen! japantown is an indispensable part of san francisco, and the japanese american community. please help preserve what’s left of japantown by signing this petition to let the sf board of supervisors, kintesu corp & AMC theatres know that japantown is an important cultural entity of the city and nation, and is with saving. thanks everyone!
