Happy Halloween!!
i made these guys out of felt!![]()
i realize i haven’t really been updating. this is because i’ve entered the coorporate world of boringness, where i’m overworked and underpaid. i come home too tired and lazy to do anything. i don’t even check my email…. anyway, here’s a pic i found while cleaning up my hd, taken in australia a yr ago with my monkey, ronkonkomo. for those of you who don’t remember him, he’s my lil buddie i picked up from nyc who accompanies me on all my travels.
longing for my nomadic past…
(one for each day, in no particular order)
these past 7 days have been pretty random…
1. i was home to receive a wedding invitation for the first time. (the last few were sent to my house while i was away in japan).congratulations, noemi!! ![]()
2. my parents left on a trip to taiwan, leaving me home alone for the first time…. (IN LIFE!) ![]()
3. i got my nose pierced
4. i went to my old elementary school to help an even older friend, the school’s newest 5th grade teacher, grade papers… the last time i was there, i was in 3rd grade!
5. i learned that the younger daughter of my abacus teacher, a lady whom i spent 2.5 hrs with each week, for 9 years of my life, died in a car accident last christmas. i can’t even imagine what it must be like to be going thru that kind of pain… should i call her?
6. i found out that a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with type II diabetes after having undergone surgery for pancreatitis.
7. someone i once knew well (and didn’t get along with really..) was charged with vehicle manslaughter on nov 2. i’m still in shock…this is heavy sh*t….
i wish i could just wave a wand and fix all the things gone wrong…
on a happier note, i couldn’t be more glad to be back in the bay…

*help*
despite the inaccurate weather forecasting by yapoo (yahoo), our expected sunny day which had turned to cloudy then rainy, wasn’t all too bad. well, besides the monatary damage, we couldn’t have asked for more out of our short lil excursion to the supermetropolitan city of tokyo.
for this post, i bring you some neat postcards we got from a woodblock printing artist at the tokyo earthday festival.
