who woulda thunk speaking kitty could come in handy? the other nite, a certain stray cat took a liking to my dialect and followed me home. to my luck, this kitty’s got a lot of personality. a personality much-like a pothead now that i think about it. all she does is lounge, eat & sleep. she never fails to get a treat from one of us whenever we go into the kitchen. even if she’s passed out somewhere, she’s right there next to ur leg when the fridge door is open, purring and meowing, begging for more fish. so kewt! best thing about her tho is that she’s really affectionate & likes to snuggle. here she is getting close with a monkey. haha..

i have no idea why i felt so compelled to name my kitty “mouse”

post these instructions, the artists, and the songs in your blog (xanga). then tag five other xanga buddies to see what they’re listening to. ok? ok!

  • “laziness is a disease”

fall is here. that means all the lil kiddies in japan are outside training for their upcoming sports festival. one of my students came in today with the craziest tshirt tan i’ve ever seen. not only could u distinguish where the sleeve of the tshirt he wore today ended, u might actually mistaken his roasted arm for a (strangely-shaped) light purple eggplant. it was the nastiest color of skin i’d ever seen. i regret i was without camera and was with a dead cell fone. zannen ne…

my student Daiki, 3rd yr jhs student, explains that he’d been outside since early morning til  the late afternoon, and that the burn was the result of “having not shade area”. also, that he had been outside on all fours practicing the “human pyramid walk”. this 15-student big pyramid not only has to stay together, but has to learn how to walk together as a pyramid!!!!!! crazy sh*t!!!!!

here i am complaining about how it’s too hot n muggy to go running outside for the duration of a measy 40 minutes… goodness i’m lazy.. LAZY!!!

i really need to get my fuji pictures up… (later  ) instead, here are some pictures shot with my cell yesterday of the eerie-end-of-the-world-ish-looking sky from my classroom during yesterday’s typhoon. sorry it’s only 2 megapix, but u get the idea right?

the sky was hot pink, firey orange, and bright blue all at once…

  • in regards to the american president….

kitty: the american president is an idiot. don’t you think so?
bunny: yup. he sure is. but then again, so is the japanese prime minister.

a postcard sent to encourage my japanese studies by yascom

i can’t believe our president just sat around chillin at his ranch while hell was tearing its way thru new orleans; the lamo claimed he didn’t want to “disturb rescue efforts”. this guy is supposed to be our commander in chief and yet he’s anywhere but first in line to take charge during any trial our country has faced. he wasn’t exactly quick to react to the 9-11 attacks, and he was even slower to take action with helping the victims of new orleans. i mean, it wasn’t like the hurricane came as a surprise, it was forecasted for goodness sake!!! he could’ve started making preparations ahead of time rather than neglecting the whole thing until after his vacation was over. just look at new orleans now…
